Our Medical Assistants provide a great service to our patients providing them with excellent care.
Services provided to the public include urgent care, primary medical care, telemedicine, and occupational medicine.
The ideal applicant will be able to assist the onsite provider with patient intake, assessment, treatment, and discharge.
Flexibility is a must!
Responsibilities:
Clinical Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments Take patient histories and vital signs Prepare patient for examination and treatment Dispense medication as directed Instruct and educate patients about discharge instructions if applicable Handle telephone calls from clients, patients, prospective patients, physicians, pharmacies, as well as other staff Provide solutions to patient concerns within the scope of position Clerical Patient intake including scheduling, registration, insurance verification, and collections Provide accurate and timely documentation to staff, insurance carriers and companies Correspondence by phone, in person, or in writing regarding patient care, i.
e.
insurance carriers, physicians, non-clinic physicians Maintain patient records for clinical use, medical records use, billing use, physicians' review, etc.
Assist with scheduling of test and treatments Complete opening and closing procedures Other Duties Maintain disposable and non-disposable supplies, i.
e.
wound care supplies, laundry, etc.
Annual training as needed Help produce and maintain patient education instruction hand-outs Maintain clean, professional working/treatment area Accept and assume responsibility for special projects as they arise All other duties as assigned Rotating Schedule:
Clinic staff will be split into two shifts:
Shift A and Shift B.
Each shift will work on a rotating schedule that includes every other weekend, sample below:

Qualifications:
Minimum High school diploma or equivalent Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience working in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.
) Prior Medical Assisting experience or education is beneficial, but not required Compensation and

This is a Part-Time PRN position that does not have a set or guaranteed schedule.
PRN hours vary by location and individual clinic needs.
Is this a position that you can commit to? Can you successfully clear a background check and drug screening as part of the employment requirements? The training for this position is completed at our training center located in Andalusia, AL for 5 consecutive days (Mon-Fri) While in training, your hotel expenses, mileage expenses, training and a per diem for meals each day will be paid by MainStreet Family Care.
Can you meet this requirement? MainStreet has implemented a two-room format for training that promotes collaboration and team building.
You will have a partner assigned to you, and the two of you will share a hotel room for the entire five-day training.
Can you commit to this requirement? The pay for this position starts at $14 per hour.
There are bonus opportunities that are based on the clinic's performance.
Can you accept the hourly pay? Do you have open availbility to work anytime Mon-Fri 8AM, 8PM and Sat-Sun:
9AM-4PM ? If not, please share below all days/hours are you available for shifts.
